Vehicle dealer groups exploit market conditions and expand

Ford Retail has sold three of its Polar Ford sites in Yorkshire to Stoneacre Motor Group for an undisclosed sum. This follows the recent Brooklyn Motors administration, which saw a large proportion of the network being sold off to Vertu Motors and Marshall Group's acquisition of Jaguar Ipswich from Lookers.

Whilst this market activity is encouraging, there have been limited signs that dealers are prepared to invest elsewhere in their networks. The majority of relocation requirements and property redevelopment plans have been shelved for the foreseeable future and there has been extremely limited market activity in the form of property and land sales, as well as lettings.
